ViQure EpiPro vs S-LD: Key Differences
Compare ViQure EpiPro and S-LD by light source, fluence, treatment window, portability and buyer priorities.
These two ViQure devices are not simply different sizes of the same machine. EpiPro is marketed around an 808nm diode laser; S-LD uses a 780–850nm super-light-emitting-diode source. ViQure positions EpiPro as the higher-fluence, larger-window option and S-LD as the lighter, lower-cost device.
| EpiPro | S-LD | |
|---|---|---|
| Light source | 808nm diode laser | 780–850nm S-LD |
| Max stated fluence | 30 J/cm² (200W) | 25 J/cm² |
| Window | 12×14 mm | 8×8 mm |
| Format | Console + handpiece | Handheld |
Specifications above are current manufacturer claims and should be rechecked before purchase.
Choose by workflow, not just the biggest number
A larger window can matter when treating legs or other broad areas. A smaller handheld can be easier to maneuver on compact areas. Maximum fluence alone does not tell you which settings are appropriate for your skin and hair.
Regulatory note on S-LD
ViQure references FDA 510(k) K230362 for S-LD. The FDA database lists K230362 as “Planar LED mate,” substantially equivalent in 2023. The associated FDA indications document describes it as prescription-use only. That is more precise than repeating the broad phrase “FDA approved.”
