ViQure EpiPro Review: What to Know Before Buying
A research-led look at ViQure’s 808nm EpiPro, its specifications, trade-offs, price position and who should investigate it further.
The ViQure EpiPro occupies an unusual place in home hair reduction: ViQure markets it as an 808nm diode laser, rather than the broad-spectrum IPL technology used by many consumer devices. That distinction is the main reason to consider it—and the main reason to compare it carefully instead of treating every “at-home laser” as equivalent.
Quick take
EpiPro is a premium, plug-in home device for shoppers specifically seeking diode-laser technology and willing to accept a larger console and a much higher purchase price than mainstream IPL. ViQure currently advertises 150W/200W versions, up to 23/30 J/cm², a 12×14 mm window and TEC cooling. Those are manufacturer specifications, not our test results.

What stands out
The focused 808nm format, relatively large treatment window, cooling system and monthly-style treatment cadence promoted by ViQure differentiate the EpiPro from weekly-use IPL devices. Independent user discussions also repeatedly focus on upgrading from IPL, coarse hair and the cost trade-off versus professional treatment. Anecdotes are useful for discovering questions, but they do not establish clinical efficacy.
Important limitations
We have not personally tested this device, so this is an editorial research review—not a hands-on verdict. Results depend on hair and skin characteristics, settings, treatment consistency and other factors. Light-colored hair can be difficult for laser systems to target because there is less pigment. The American Academy of Dermatology also warns that laser treatment can cause burns, blisters, infection, scarring or pigment changes when used improperly.
Is it worth investigating?
If your priority is the lowest upfront cost or a compact handheld, start with the broader IPL market. If your priority is specifically a home diode laser and you understand the safety, suitability and price trade-offs, EpiPro belongs on the shortlist alongside ViQure’s S-LD and other legitimate light-based devices.
